WHO WE ARE
We are a United Church of Christ. We are the result of the 1957 merger between the Congregational Christian Churches and the Evangelical Reformed Churches. Our diversity of church backgrounds is reflected in our ecumenical spirit which enriches our worship, education and fellowship.
WHAT WE BELIEVE
Each local United Church of Christ is one unique expression of the body of Christ. It is SELF-GOVERNING (calling its own ministers, shaping its own worship and programs, setting its own budget). It is NON-CREEDAL, that, no one is coerced into endorsing another’s interpretation of faith. However, our members do share in common the COVENANT that God’s loving presence and promises invite each of us into a personal relationship whereby we extend the gospel of Christ as living witnesses in church and society. The two ordinances recognized by the United Church of Christ are BAPTISM and HOLY COMMUNION.
